Most Ad Providers For Blind Webmasters Don’t Offer “Special Monetization”

Recently… Chitika has discontinued using PayPal, and replaced it with Payoneer. This payment platform isn’t as accessible as PayPal. Since Chitika has some problems with PayPal, maybe they have to swap platforms to make it easier for people to get paid faster. However; that didn’t solve the problem for blind webmasters like me! That is the another form of discrimination against the blind webmasters who rely on shared-hosting plans. In common, most websites written by blind webmasters are text-based. There’s no images, and no video content. Well, they may have audio content,–if available.

The Problem:

By design, most ad providers, such as Google AdSense, Chitika, Infolinks, Shareaholic, Outbrain, and other ad networks don’t offer special monetization for the blind. This is the known form of discrimination that can put blind webmasters at risk of accidentally click on their own ads, watch their own ads, listen to their own ads, engage with their own ads, and more. This deceptive practice has been going for years since online ad providers for blind webmasters who monetize content. There is no such law that regulate, and mandate special monetization requirements. Not even one special setup has been offered for blind users who rely on these ad programs.

AdSense is the known ad provider who has vague policies that don’t make any sense at all. Site discrimination is the known isse for many publishers who were struggling to monetize content. Blogger… owned by Google Inc. doesn’t allow anyone to monetize adult content because, they belive ads displayed on these sites is the known form of spam,–deemed legal by Google Inc! This unlawful form of infringing the publishers’ rights to monetize content. That can range from movie reviews, product reviews, and other content. Blogger’s unlawful deletion of legitimate bloggers’ sites has been linked to an uproar on Blogger help forums,–hosted via Google Product Forums.

If you thought of publishing erotic content with ads be any worse? Think again!! AdSense has been treating users as nothing more than criminals, and neglecting publishers like crazy. This is the mess what AdSense hasn’t been cleaning up for a long time. If you were blind, and you were using ad providers like them… watch out! These ad providers like this care nitorious for unlawfully terminate account for no legitimate reason. However; this is no honest mistake, this ad network, AdSense has did it on purpose, they also bribed copyright-trolls, and other trolls,–laundering money like crazy, and violating international sanctions, and ripping off small publishers who run personal websites.

Many ad networks rely on traditional image banners without any alternative text to describe images that will enable blind visitors to figure out what ad is it. Possible work-arounds for some ad networks are switching out image ads for text-based ads via Google AdSense, and choosing text-based ad units to help blind visitors recognize ads without any trouble. Since AdSense’s proprietary software has been linked to possible signs of NOT converting image ads to a text-based ads what webmasters expected them to be converted. This is a hassle for all of the blind webmasters who also wanted to monetize their sites.

Untold, many legitimate publishers has their AdSense accounts wrongfully terminated, and had their earned money taken from them unlawfully. This is one serious example of fraud. However; Google AdSense can be sued by publishers, but no court-order has been established to prevent this form of fraud from happening in the future.

Fact:

Advertisers pay for organic views, clicks, and engagements of their ads, and the money goes to publishers big, and small.

What you should do?

Don’t sign up for any of these ad networks where they don’t offer special monetization. If you were using Google AdSense; use text ad units as a work-around. Be sure to activate your ad-blocking extension to prevent yourself from clicking on your own ads. If you were using Chitika… remove these ads, and make a call to let them know why you were so unhappy about their service, and close your Chitika account. If you were relying on any of these discriminating ad providers, you may need to open a support ticket, or create a petition to let them know about your issue.

For AdSense Users

If you managed to use Google AdSense… and you still have ads that use both text, and image; follow these steps below:

  1. Go to google.com/adsense/, and change ad types for your site, or create a new unit for your text-based ads.

  2. If you were using AdRotate to manage ads, either swap out the other ad, or create a new advert. This step applies to WordPress users. If you don’t use WordPress; skip this step.
  3. Go to any of your owned sites, and place in your new ad unit. If you use an ad-managing software for your site… use it. If you were using blogger; place an ad at the comfortable position on your site. Always wrap it with a div element, and label it as “Advertisements” or “Sponsored Links” to prevent accidental clicks on your ads.
  4. Save your site’s settings and edits.

For Shareaholic Users

If you managed to use this ad provider to monetize content… and you need to rely on this ad provider; be sure to submit a support ticket about your issue, and describe as you can. Provide screenshots if you were developing a screen-reader for communities who rely on this important piece of software.

If you still have trouble with these ad networks above

If it doesn’t work, close your Shareaholic account altogether.

If you have trouble relying on these ad networks; try using an affiliate program instead. Viglink is the known affiliate program that may help you monetize your website. But these links needs to be disclosed to meet the FTC guidelines. They do have a telephone support service available for your support questions. Be sure to ask if they have special monetization for the blind. If they provided you instructions to post links to your site, do so. Always add a rel=”nofollow” tag to these links to prevent traffic from pouring into these affiliate sites what you link to. Whether you write stories, product reviews, news articles, plugin releases, audio-book releases, book releases, or any other content, you can easily monetize your sites this way.
