That can range from some apps/platforms that aren’t no longer being used or out of business, or intentionally switched to a different platform.
All of that digital clutter has result to our site running slowly (even using a VPS host).
The Removal Of Ads That Won’t Meet Our Advertising Guidelines
We are still drafting our advertising guidelines, and we are making it clear for advertisers to understand our advertising guidelines. This is important to keep our users on our website safe. Advertising the vintage way is one solution to this issue.
With our awareness of Google being held accountable for antitrust; we need to pull Google ad units from our website and plan to close down our ad account offered by Google. This necessary step provides a clear message to ALL privacy advocates and creators, virtually informing them about why BIG corporations who infringed our privacy should be held accountable. By ditching Google ad networks; this is why sellers, clients and suppliers should avoid BIG monopolies for the best results.
By using a self-hosted solution; we can host our own ads and regain control of our own ads what we allow/disallow. However; you don’t need any fancy GIFs to advertise on our websites if you have a text-based ad with a CTA (Call To Action), it will be accepted,–even if you monetize your books, music, games, articles, blog posts, wiki pages, images, videos, movies, and more.
Hosting our own ads also provides a clear message to all bloggers, writers, news reporters, product reviewers, and other creators. Relying on a monopoly like Google is NOT worth it. Running your independent ads can help our forces break monopolies on search engines, app stores, online stores. However; hosting your own ads always take courage and skill. To me; hosting my own ads is like running my own store with products what I pick from suppliers what I want to support, and sell them via low prices.
Unfortunately, Google ad units has bloated my website the point of slowing down like a turtle,–despite being text-based.
However; after we remove Google ad units; we begin hosting our own ads; and work with real people who want to advertise on Fairies Dreams & Fantasy. We are still testing a member portal for advertisers who want to advertise on our website. And this long form of testing is necessary to fix bugs, choose software; choose payment platforms; and more.
The Bloat And Built Up Unnecessary Plugins
Removing some of these plugins that are NOT essential is key to clean up all of that software that is left to rot and fail.
However; removing plugins that are no longer being maintained is key for Fairies Dreams & Fantasy to speed up. Also, removing unnecessary bloat is one way to streamline our website’s ability to serve content to viewers on most browsers.
Removing some apps or scripts that infringe privacy in multiple ways is also essential to help mitigate risks as a way to help reduce malicious ads that are dangerous.
Decluttering
This website will be Under decluttering as a way for our site to speed up, and make it easier for our site to be usable by people in the future.
Some of these apps what are used to using may be removed as a way to help this site load faster. However; users can still read our site as we do all of the decluttering.
