For the past 7 years; relying on Google AdSense is a typical form of monetization, but due to unlawful practices, and discrimination of website traffic, we decided to sunset use of Google AdSense as a way to find other ways to monetize our websites. If you are an advertiser who still want to have your ads seen and heard, its strongly recommended to contact us for your ad to be placed on our website with our ad server that is still being developed.
With an outrage of publishers who rely on ad networks to monetize our websites, we decided to find other ways to monetize our website.
The Issue
Google AdSense, owned by Google has screwed us up, and we have trouble with monetizing our websites. We believe these following ads what we don’t ALLOW on our website has circumvented our experimental advertising guidelines. Also, AI associated with these ad networks supposed to work as promised, but Google AdSense has broken its promise with their ad network. That concerns me as a website owner myself. If I ran a website with ads, and I have younger viewers… ALL ads must abide to requirements to protect children’s privacy. If me as a website owner myself has provided sexulaized ads to kids via an ad network; I’ll be end up in prison and register as a sex offender. Children are NOT supposed to see sexualized content. Normalizing presenting sexualized ads with sexualized products and services to minors is such a bad practice! Ad networks with advertisers should be held accountable, and have these bad actors removed from ad networks altogether. With Google AdSense secretly normalizing sexualized content within ads targeting towards minors, and my main concern,–regarding use of AI… that can be a nightmare. Google should be held accountable for providing this material to minors.
Unfortunately, my advertising guidelines what I’m enforcing is not helping because, Google has failed to honor my request. They’ve should’ve require me to provide a link to my advertising guidelines. If they’ve done it in the first place; that should’ve made it easier for me to have proper ads. ForceChange has always remind us about reporting ads that are not suitable for their website. However; they do have a subscription option for people who use ad-blocking technology.
With all of these ad networks going corrupt with bad decisions, and unnecessary use of AI in mass quantities… this is a serious issue what Fairies Dreams & Fantasy is currently experiencing.
Ads that focus on sex, and other nasty stuff are not supposed to be on the internet. There’s no such segregated version of internet intended for sexualized content. Typically, sexualized content are NOT supposed to be free for everyone around the world. They should be placed behind payment mechanisms at all costs. This is necessary to prevent tees and young children from seeing this kind of content, and that’s what some adult content creators/entertainers don’t understand! Don’t provide free adult content… put them behind payment mechanisms, that way; sexualized content will be out of reach of children and teenagers, or add a strict requirement to provide valid ID when making a payment to view content via a dedicated device designated for viewing adult materials.
Unfortunately, general-use computers are notorious of being used for viewing adult content. To me, a special computer must be developed to view such content with a subscription model, and a requirement to have a drive encrypted as a way to protect data.
Fairies Dreams & Fantasy has a separate website for adults, but under heavy development. However; pornography will not be provided because, hosting pornography is NOT an option.
Everyday, we heard news about porn porn producers who are illegally producing porn has been arrested by the DHS, and other entities who protect our children. Use of TOR is common for illegal pron being circulated. Also, this is an issue for people who legitimately use TOR for viewing content on Fairies Dreams & Fantasy.
There’s no such law that require all erotic content (including pornographic content) to be placed behind mandatory payment mechanisms with an ability to use valid ID as a verification to prevent minors from using this service., implement a segregated internet for porn producers and other erotic producers, and there’s no such law that require all porn producers take classes for the purpose of preventing domestic violence, sexual violence, etc.
Untold, YouTube has total hypocrisy,–after it was bought by Google. This is an ongoing issue for Fairies Dreams & Fantasy.
Our Solution To This Issue
We decided to sunset adsense and find other ways to have our readers support our websites. However; we care about our readers who read our content.
Fortunately, we can rely on donations, affiliate links, and other ways for our site to be monetized with these ad networks who don’t care about our content. Well, Google AdSense is such a giant bigot who is extremely greedy, we need to ditch AdSense altogether, and use our own ad server as a way to independently host our own ads as a way to properly serve ads to our customer base without AI. Serving ads by hand is necessary to help advertisers target proper audiences and help to correctly sort ads by advertisers who wanted to advertise on our website.
NOT serving sexualized ads with sexualized products/services to minors is our solution to help fight against potentially-unwanted sexualized materials.
Providing safe ads is our preferred option.
