My Ebook Has Long Chapters… Can I Publish It Via Draft2Digital?

Right now, I’m experimenting with writing long chapters, and constantly updating my book as I expand content like expanding a long form of a story to slow down changing of these scenes, just like a movie what you watch in a movie theater. However; I’m very careful when writing extremely long books for my readers to read like being in a theater. Although; publishing via Draft2Digital isn’t just easy, it’s also suitable for me to choose a vendor of choice.

However; I’m going to cover long ebooks what authors write, along with this answer to this question.

What’s The Point About Long Books?

Long books can warp you into a world like a movie. And long books what authors publish and take for granted has entertained over millions of people around the world. For some of us; these books entertain us, or educate us,–or enable us to study new cultures!

Although; long ebooks are useful for publishing to Scribd, and other subscription-based services. However; long books has been enabling authors to soak in more readers overtime.

If you read books like normal, and you often write your own, it’s like filling libraries with new titles for anyone to choose!

What’s the point about long chapters?

Long chapters in your book is key to slow down your story, smoothing it out… reducing all of the choppy scenes, and unnecessary speed for people to finish your book. However; long chapters can be useful if you want to add something entertaining to it, like action, fights, driving, flying, riding animals, riding characters, diving underwater, etc. However; these chapters are useful to divide your book. Your chapters in your book is like a fade to black on some movies to divide scenes.

If you have a long book that is long enough for your readers to enjoy your content

Be aware… Draft2Digital has a set upload size limit to enable them to convert your doc file to epub files when publishing your ebook. Typically, under 30 MB is common because, extremely large ebooks often take long to be uploaded. If your book is only text, and you’ve managed to write an extremely long book with series of chapters… it may take some readers days to finish your book. And Not just you will contain readers inside your book; you will also have enough people using their imagination as they read.

Having long books to read is important for readers to stick with your content for a long haul. For this instance; you were writing a medical fiction book,–just like what I’m experimenting currently. Your ebook has over 400 pages. You managed to write up to 10 MB of text without any images because, you wanted people to see text only. This is useful for people who don’t draw images for their work. Having long chapters to read is key to readers reading your content.

Chapters can be long or short, unless your book has internal books in it. If you were writing a set of stories inside your book, and you discovered your book reaching a size of 5 MB, most likely, your ebook is about to take up space in some reading devices like ereaders, tablets, and other devices. If your ebook is DRM-Free like my books; your users can see how large your book is by taking a look of a size of a file itself. Ebooks with only text can rarely reach over 1 GB in size. This is common for some people who prefer to write only text-based content. However; your content is influenced by format and size. However; your document’s metadata calculates word count, formatting, and other data in your document. Unfortunately, Draft2Digital doesn’t support uploading of raw html files. Although; this is a limitation for some people who only write in html language.

Long Chapters In General

Long chapters can be useful if you ant to enable your readers to read your book like watching a movie. However; your chapters length depends on these factors; your imagination, your scenes, character interaction, storyline, events, and plot of your story.

If your chapter has at least 10 pages via Google Docs, your chapter may be long enough as you write your book. If your chapters is too short, your story may be too choppy. You have to smooth it out as possible. You should only go choppy… if you know what you’re actually doing! If your scenes are less choppy; the better your book is easy to read and understand overtime. If your chapter is too long; you may need to break it up with new chapters when possible.

It’s okay to have a long ebook

You can have a long ebook if you want, but you must create interesting and unique content as you write your ebooks. However; your ebooks that are long enough can retain some of your readers, but don’t expect your readers will keep reading your books like normal,–unless you use a library distribution service offered by Draft2Digital.
